Memorial Day 2010

This is the special time of year when we honor those who have "graduated" from this life. Steve's big brother Jack passed away in January and we sure do miss his jolly laugh and happy smile.

This is also the time of year when my peonies are so beautiful!

The BEST part about this time of year is our family barbecue in the backyard! Chef Steve cooked up his famous marinated chicken on the barbie!

Our newest member of the family - Sweet little Addi!

And ... the rest of the gang!

I'm sure you remember how I mourned the loss of the big globe willow in April! Well, now we have to crowd under the skinny little Norway maple that only grows 6 inches a year. So this Memorial Day we also remembered with fondness our deceased "picnic tree."

And after our bellies were full we headed to the Paradise Golf course for a round of golf. Tom was the winner and declared "King Putter." Grandpa De followed close behind with fantastic long drives off of each tee. Amber showed her powerful golf swing as each hit sent the ball soaring toward the flag. Cindy ... hmm... Cindy ... let me think of something nice.... Cindy only swore once in the sand trap!!!!

Thanks everyone for such a fun day!!!
