On Friday Steve and I went to Salt Lake and met up with our friends, Chris and Ross Stevens. We froze (truly we did!) as we walked around Temple Square and The Gateway, but we did enjoy the beautiful lights.

The highlight of Friday night was Kurt Bestor's Christmas Concert. Thanks to our friends for a fun evening in the city. Let's do it again next year!

We spent Saturday doing a bit of Christmas shopping along with 4 million other people and in the evening we ended up at the Jensen home in Lehi. Steve and I watched the kids while their parents went to The Forgotten Carols and -- I must admit-- I slept through most of Santa Buddies and The Polar Express that the girls had me watch. Alex caught me sleeping (I wonder if my mouth was hanging open) and said, "Grandma! Open your eyes!" I told her I was just resting my eyes for a minute..or two..or ten. Hmmm - Granny better pay more attention to the movies from now on!
Sunday morning Steve and I went to The Tabernacle Choir's Christmas Concert with Tom and Amber. Natalie Cole was the guest performer and she was awesome. And of course, the Choir was so amazing.

When we went into the Conference Center it was raining and when we came out it was snowing...really hard! But the snow made the city beautiful and seemed to make a picture perfect end to our Christmas weekend.
